Migraine is a neurological condition marked by intense headaches, sensitivity to light and sound, nausea, and sometimes visual disturbances. From an Ayurvedic perspective, migraine is often associated with an imbalance in the Pitta dosha, although Vata and Kapha imbalances can also contribute. Ayurveda refers to migraine as Ardhavabhedaka, a condition described in ancient texts as a severe, throbbing pain affecting one side of the head. Unlike conventional treatments that primarily focus on pain relief, Ayurveda aims to identify and treat the root cause of migraines, providing long-term relief.
